Well done, R! I am guilty of the double row too. I definitely organize according to how my brain works, genre and subgenre mostly. It’s been a while since I last purged. I think I’ll start with my wife’s books. 😂 To be fair they’re mostly thrillers…
I have a double raw too...you are such a good example for me! Last time I was organising my books I was thinking, if I move to another house, would I keep it? I got rid of a few book, but I have to do a second round. Thank you for sharing
What a fun post! Agree that the after is very satisfying.
I like to think another perk of setting books free is that it gets them into other readers’ hands while they’re still fresh - maybe my never-gonna-get-to is someone else’s dream read.
I have so many outdated "how to" books from when I was creating websites old-school with Dreamweaver. Does that even exist anymore since Wordpress took over? Ruthie, you've inspired me to clean house!
Also impressed that you counted them!!

Ha! If you start with hers she gets to start with yours :)
The before / after is very satisfying!

YES! Great point. I love the idea that books are a message in a bottle to a stranger who needs them most <3
